Academic Tutors and Homework Support (Volunteer)

Do you have the skills to support young people in academic learning and improve their experience of education?

Many of the young people in our community have not had the resources and support to learn effectively from home during lockdown and are at risk of being put at further disadvantage in their education becasue of this. We want to provide space, resources and support to enable them to engage positively with their academic education and enthusiastic, committed volunteers are essential to this.

  • We need qualified and experienced tutors who are able to deliver support in English and Maths from Key stage 2-4 to groups and individual young people.

  • We also need volunteers who can support young people on a one to one basis with their school work (school years 6 – 13), you would not need teaching or tutoring qualifications for this just experience of academic study to at least GCSE level.

We work with young people during the week after school and in the evenings, each support session would require a time commitment of 1-2 hours.

If you are interested please get in touch, we will be interviewing potential volunteers online via Zoom as soon as possible.
