I have been a self-defense practitioner for over 20 years and transitioned into running a security and bodyguard company in the 1990s before moving into artist management. In 2018, after being diagnosed with prostate cancer, I faced a challenging journey that opened my eyes to the heightened risks faced by black men. Inspired to make a change, I founded the support group Cancer Don’t Let It Win C.I.C. to help families affected by prostate cancer.

The groups have flourished, gaining strength and recognition over time. I have travelled internationally to share my story and raise awareness about prostate cancer within high-risk communities, connecting with influential figures and speaking at conferences around the world. My community work has been recognized by BBC1's The One Show, and I had the honour of presenting my ideas at 10 Downing Street.

I am passionate about the wellbeing of our younger generation and believe that young people should be informed about issues that affect their health and wellbeing. The services provided by SYC are truly impressive, which has motivated me to offer my support in helping young people build their confidence and sense of belonging.
